About

I build software that stays understandable.

ZonoSystems is just the name I use for my work. In practice, it’s me — building web platforms and software systems with clarity, care, and a focus on what actually matters.

How I think about software

I’m not interested in “clever” solutions. I care about systems that are easy to reason about — today, and six months from now.

Clarity beats cleverness

If a solution is impressive but hard to maintain, it’s not a win. I optimize for readability, predictable behavior, and decisions that make sense under pressure.

Constraints are part of the design

Budget, time, risk, and team size aren’t obstacles — they shape the right solution. I’d rather ship a smaller thing that works than a big thing that collapses.

Make change easy

Software rarely stays “done”. Good architecture isn’t about over-engineering — it’s about making future changes cheaper, safer, and less stressful.

How I like to work

I prefer collaboration that feels human: clear, calm, and honest.

We keep the goal simple and visible. If the goal changes, we say it out loud and adjust.

I’ll ask questions early. Not to slow things down — to avoid expensive rework later.

Small iterations, frequent checkpoints. You can see progress, not just promises.

I’ll give input when I see risk. You stay in control, but you won’t be alone with the hard calls.

What this means in practice

The output isn’t just “code”. It’s a system you can run, extend, and trust.

You’ll get a structure that’s easy to navigate, naming that doesn’t fight you, and a baseline quality level that makes future work smoother.

When something is uncertain, I prefer to surface it early — with options, tradeoffs, and a recommendation — instead of hiding it behind optimism.

Where this might not be ideal

No hard feelings — it’s just about fit.

  • If the main goal is “as cheap as possible”, you’ll probably be happier with a different approach.
  • If you want zero input and purely execution, I may not be the best match.
  • If speed is everything and quality is optional, we’ll likely disagree on priorities.

If you’re unsure, a short conversation usually makes it obvious in a good way.

If this style of working resonates with you, feel free to reach out. If it doesn’t, that’s completely fine — clarity is still a win.
